Reverend Kohtoku Hirao wrote this stunning sumi ink calligraphy as a gift to the Lawai International Center to nurture and support the light of Lawai.
The red stamp at the top right represents the six elements which make up the universe in the teachings of Shingon Buddhism. The two red stamps on the bottom are Reverend Kohtoku Hirao's name and is his pen name Benevolence of Light.
This reproduction has been graciously created by Printmaker of Kalaheo, Kauai. It is printed on 8" x 10" archival matte paper for a longer print life, matted to 11x14 and does not include the wooden frame (shown in one of the pictures).
