Rev. Kohtoku Hirao created 900 versions of this beautiful calligraphy for the perfect one encompassing the Center's spirit of “Gratitude”.
Grant Kagimoto of Cane Haul Road has graciously donated the hand printing of the shirts using no machinery.
The spirit of the brush strokes in the calligraphy are alive through touch of these two masters and the oneness of their hearts.
The red stamp at the top right represents the six elements which make up the universe in the teachings of Shingon Buddhism. The two red stamps on the bottom are Reverend Kohtoku Hirao's name and is his pen name Benevolence of Light.
